It’s been about a week since our LOVE LIKE WHOA event at the Portland Flea-for-All, and it was so wonderful! We welcomed over 50 people to the space as people browsed the merchant tables, listened to amazing live music (thanks Dietrich and Laura!), and had great conversation about sexual assault prevention and the VDAY movement.
We are so thankful for all of the community support we received for this event, including local businesses who graciously donated goods and food. Specifically, we want to thank The Portland Flea-for-All, The Portland Designer, Portland Trading Company, Bard Coffee, Tandem Coffee Roasters, Delicious Femme Fortunes, Nancy Diamond Designs, Gentle Hex Collective, Otto Pizza Portland, Old Port Wine & Cigar Merchants, KittyWitch Perfumery, and our community resources The Frannie Peabody Center and SARSSM. We really can’t thank people enough for coming out to the event on the 14th, our donors and supporters, people who have been champions of Speak About It since the beginning and people who hear about us every day.
We also had a great time with our photo booth! We had mustaches, sunglasses, glasses, Polaroid cutouts, lips, hearts and lots and lots of photos! Be sure to look for the hashtag online #lovelikewhoaME on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. If you took photos at the event, we’d love it if you shared them on the Facebook event page and make sure to add the hashtag! You can check out the albums that we took on the LOVE LIKE WHOA, Speak About It or Gentle Hex facebook pages.
Until the next event!
