Youch we totally meant to post something sooner about our adventures in Ithaca! Thanks for being patient! Our trip was great, and the administrators and students at Cornell were wonderful hosts. After a few emails to friends (including Bowdoin alum Z-Z Cowen) for some tips on jokes, we were ready for a stellar show in Collegetown. And when we got there, we were fortunate to have some great student guides who filled us in on some of the lingo on campus, and of course, where to find the best bagel in town.
We performed for about 150 students and administrators, including foreign exchange students, transfer students, new students, student-leaders, deans, professors, campus police, and even old friends from college. Shana made a joke in Portuguese (Well, sort of. She mostly didn’t botch her attempt at speaking Portuguese too terribly. From now on though, only English for her.) and Ben showed up with some stellar singing skills (again, not so much, but we don’t tell him that part). We had some productive conversations with students and administrators alike afterward, and got some great feedback to help improve future versions of the show. We’re certainly looking forward to heading back to Ithaca for future shows, but in the meantime, be sure to keep checking back on the Facebook and blog for updates and future events in your area (we’re talking to you, Portland).
As always, thanks for stopping by, and keep having conversations!
